Reminders

Dear parents,
Here are a few reminders:
Drop off procedures: Beginning Monday, January 14th, we will no longer allow parents inside the school to drop students off in the morning after 7:30am.  Students attending before care may still be escorted in by an adult prior to 7:30am. We will have staff members available in front of the school to monitor students’ safety. Parents needing to speak with the office are welcome. Meeting with the teachers for any time between 7:30am and 3:40pm should be scheduled at least one day ahead of time.
Pick up procedures: Picking up students from inside the building is allowed only for kindergarten or 1st grades and there is no change on the pickup procedures at this time. However, we will not let any parent go beyond the lobby area without a name badge. For some reason, if you don’t have your permanent badge with you, you can get a temporary one from the office. However, you need to keep in mind that at times the system may be down or slow to print name badges. If the front office can not issue a name badge immediately, you may need to wait until the teacher bring the students outside/lobby area.
Side door use: Use of only one side door which is by the gym is allowed for students only when we monitor the door by a staff member between 7:45am and 8:00am. .
Re-enrollment forms: Re-enrollment forms were already mailed to your homes and they are due by January the 31st.  If you have not received one in the mail you can get it from the office.
General PTO meeting: Our general PTO meeting will be held on January 14 (tomorrow) in the grade school cafeteria at 6:30pm. This time we are having a motivational speaker and 50/50 raffle.

Reading Logs

Dear Parents,
Next week, we will begin reading logs. The required reading time is 60 minutes a week. It can be broken up however you prefer but must be  completed by Monday.  Reading logs are to remain in the folder throughout the week. Please remember reading with your child or having your child read to you is of high importance. Color and initial each 10 minute square once you have completed the reading session. If it is not colored in and initialed it will be assumed your child did not read for the week. If the reading log is completed every week for the month, the student will get a prize. Thank you.
