Math & Literacy Centers

Here's a peak at some of our Math & Literacy centers we worked on this week:

Word Wall Center: At our Word Wall Center we built our word wall words with paper clips and then used a magnet to move around and pick them up!

Journal Center: We wrote about force and motion experiments we observed throughout the week.

Read to a Friend Center: We used our "Chunky Monkey" to highlight chunks in our shared reading of the week and then practiced it with our friends!

 Math Center: We went on a 3-D shape hunt around the room and noticed that 3-D & 2-D shapes are all around us!

 Craft Center: We made a caterpillar out of 3-D shapes!

Phonics Center- We made -ake word family bracelets!

Motivational Speaker: Javier Sanchez

Today, Javier Sanchez came to visit GSA. He taught us to be positive in the classroom.

He also taught us SLANT.

We had a blast bringing our favorite stuffed animals to school today! Our GREAT March behavior paid off! We are looking forward to fulfilling our next classroom incentive!
