Our Friend Zero the Hero

This week on the 20th day of school we met our friend "Zero the Hero". We discussed why the number 0 is important and why it is different from other numbers.

IXL

Our class has gone above & beyond on IXL! I am so proud of all my students! Within the first week our class has already met many goals and received 5 certificates. IXL will be included in the homework packet weekly. Please write down your username & password for future reference. Students may use IXL at any time! Feel free to use it as an incentive at home as well.

Recess

We love to run and play! Ask your child at home how we are safe on the playground.

Here are some questions you may want to ask them:
-How do we use the slide?
-Can we play with rocks? Can we play with dirt?
-How many students can go down the slide at once?
-Can we use the monkey bars?
-Can we throw rocks?
-What type of words do we use on the playground?
-What are the playground boundaries?
-Where is the trash can?
-Can we use the bathroom outside?
